Reducing the concept of power to political power is the most problematic approach to social struggle in representative democracies.
The tendency to see the political struggle only as a competition between spheres of representation and a race for seats is a big mistake.
In today's world, political powers form part of the totality of the sphere of power. The main hegemonic power that also encompasses political powers is capital.
Not only political parties, but also professional organizations, trade unions, trade unions, media outlets and even charities are under the siege of capital.
It is a misreading, at least in terms of cultural hegemony, to think that power consists of political power.
Today, despite a quarter century of political power in Turkey, if the cultural hegemony is still not under the control of the conservative line, except in localized areas, we need to question who has the real and most powerful power.
Of course, we are not making this analysis to absolve political powers from responsibility. However, it is not possible to defend, protect and develop social demands and the public interest without an accurate assessment of power and hegemony.
To reduce the problem to elections, to the parliamentary arithmetic, is to simplify the issue, to underestimate it.
Capital's hegemony over politics on a global scale has encompassed everything from election campaigns to perception operations. A real struggle for freedom and equality can only be possible through the construction of a genuine alternative to this siege.
Unless we build a correct political consciousness, a strong social morality and a model of solidarity that can be an alternative, we will not be able to make progress against this global hegemony.
Today, if we are discussing the captivity of a political party, a political organization that dates back to the War of Independence, with money through local governments, to read this only in terms of the relationship between the political power and the judiciary is to deflect the target and to stay away from the will to solve the problem.
Today is the day to ask ourselves this painful question again. Which government are we really against?
Only by standing against the political power, can we put forward a work that will affect the big power sphere!
