One of the main structural problems of Turkish politics is the unhealthy structure of the power-opposition relationship.

However, those who are genuinely disturbed by this situation and seek to correct it are expected to start with themselves, with those in their power.
If we cannot get rid of the endless atmosphere of mutual accusations between municipalities and the central administration over the use of financial resources, we cannot move neither politics nor society to a clean ground.
In an environment where society and politics are exhausted, it does not matter who runs the municipalities or who is in power.
We ignore the fact that the picture of municipalities that has emerged in the last few years offers an opportunity for the opposition to take the scalpel to itself.
Instead of polemicizing with the government over ongoing trials and investigations, it would serve the dignity of the opposition to turn this situation into an opportunity and act towards the purification that society expects.
The expenditures of mayors for their private staff and hospitality expenses, such irresponsible and arbitrary use of authority, is not an issue that can be dealt with in daily political polemics.
Authorization outside the public service and public interest only accelerates decay. Likewise, the fact that municipal companies are treated under private law due to their monstrous status creates the basis for unlimited arbitrary spending and public damage.
It is extremely important that radical steps can be taken to radically change the municipal system and that the politics of a clean society starts from here.
Only this approach will accelerate the process of shaking up and regaining consciousness. Otherwise, the hope of solving problems through the ballot box and voting will completely collapse.
Blaming the other side and getting out of it does not gain the opposition anything.
