WHEN THE MEASURE IS LOST!

“An unreasonable move is not acceptable either,” say the scholars.
For every action has its balance, every word its dignity, and every attitude its limits. The moment balance is lost, reason retreats and passion takes the lead. At that very moment, what must be done is not to get swept up in the crowd’s excitement, but to pause and reflect, to question, and to seek out the truth. This is precisely what we call foresight.

In fact, the behavior displayed during the party convention—which has become the subject of debates over absolute nullity between Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Özgür Özel—was actually a major warning sign for anyone paying close attention at the time.

People were rightly taken aback by Ali Mahir Başarır—known to the public as “Zıp zıp”—and his excessive joy, adolescent-like antics, and behavior bordering on clownishness. After all, there was no castle captured from the enemy. Nor was there a victory in a national struggle.
It was merely a demonstration against a leader who had won the votes of millions in the presidential election and had shouldered the party’s burden for years.

One couldn’t help but ask:
What was that all about?
What was that all about?
What was that sense of revenge all about?

Looking back today, it becomes clear that the issue went far beyond personal ambition. It turns out that some people viewed politics not as a cause but as a source of plunder. They saw office not as a trust but as an opportunity.
The money circulating in baklava boxes, the scandals unfolding in cemeteries, the allegations spreading far and wide…
All of this now sheds light on the state of mind behind the outburst that day.

Because what’s inside a person shows on the outside.
A pure heart breeds dignity; a corrupt heart breeds recklessness…

You can’t expect anything good from the ram of a flock that has lost its way.
The fate of crowds who mistake excess for virtue has always been to be swept away.

Politics is not a neighborhood feud.
Politics is a matter of seriousness, patience, dignity, and morality.
Those who try to rise by discrediting their rivals may win applause in the short term, but in the long run, they will squander their own dignity.

Because merchants who lose their sense of proportion manipulate prices,
A politician who loses his sense of proportion loses his dignity…

Commercial losses will be compensated.
A bad investment can be corrected.
The incorrect calculation is redone.
However, once political integrity has been compromised, it is not easy to restore. For integrity is not a garment one puts on later in life, but a matter of character ingrained in one’s very being.

A holy hand does not reach out to the dishonorable.
Clean hands won’t let dirty feet kiss them.
Because a person of dignity prioritizes preserving their own character over the position they hold.

This loss of perspective lies at the root of today’s crises, scandals, and upheavals.
Those who mistake morality for a tactic may get by for the time being, but they cannot save themselves in the eyes of history.

After all, history sometimes records not the results of elections, but the character of the people.

And it should not be forgotten that:
If the yeast is bad, it won’t be the bread that’s baked—even if it’s a pastry, it’ll still upset your stomach.
