Decisions are not made at the ballot box

When election day comes, everyone gets serious. As if he will sit and think long and hard once he is in the cabinet.

The voter does not vote. They confirm the decision they have already made.

When election day comes, everyone gets serious. As if he will sit and think long and hard once he is in the cabinet.

Let's be clear.

Most people already know what to do. They don't go to the polls to find their opinion. They go with their opinion in their pocket.

Then he makes a statement to himself. He says economy, security, future.

So why do people who live the same life vote differently?

Because that is not the issue.

One first feels close to a place. Then you find the words to defend that feeling.

It's the same in daily life. You watch the same news. You say it's true, the other says it has nothing to do with it. The news is the same, the view is different.

This is how politics works. One side says there is danger, the other says change is needed. These words are repeated over and over again. It gets shorter. They become harsher. At some point, it becomes a single sentence. And people take that sentence and carry it as their own opinion.

The media magnifies it. You hear the same sentences over and over again. After a while it sounds normal. Because you get used to it. And what you get used to feels right.

Here's the strange thing. Nobody realizes this. Everyone says I made my own decision. Of course they did. Everyone is so logical.

And then what happens? One stops listening to the other side. He repeats the same things. The discussion ends, the defense begins. Then it becomes about identity. There are no opinions anymore, there are sides.

There are also people we call undecided. They are actually not empty. They just don't trust anyone completely. They make a small decision at the last moment. And that small decision changes the whole outcome.

Sometimes life gets in the way. It's hard to make ends meet. One stops and takes a look. But most of them go back to what they know. Because people like what they are used to, not what is right.

That's it, table.

So what do we do?

You will win voters before, not at the ballot box.

First you give a person emotion. If you make them feel safe, they will listen. If you give hope, he opens the door. If you only tell data, it will pass.

Keep it simple. Not long and drawn out. Clear. Short enough to be memorable.

You repeat the same thing. Saying it once is not enough. One gets used to what one hears, and what one hears, one adopts.

You will inspire confidence. People don't look at words, they look at the person who says them. You will be consistent.

You don't insult the other side. One doesn't listen to one's attacker.

Talk to the undecided. It is difficult to turn the one who has already decided. But the distant one is still open.

You will touch everyday life. You want to hear about your life. Your pocket, your job, your future.

And you'll do it on time. Not during election week, but long before.

Because one does not make a decision in an instant.

Finally the ballot box arrives.

Everyone goes and votes.

And everyone acts as if they had decided on that day.

But the truth is very simple.

Nobody decides that day.

Everyone is just confirming the decision they have already made.
