Emine Ülker Tarhan's statement is not just a comeback; it is the clearest indication of the CHP's search for identity and direction. But the critical question is: Is this debut a real acting role or just a window dressing move?
Showcase Politics?

The CHP has been struggling with its own identity for a long time. Tarhan's harsh criticism and opposition to Kılıçdaroğlu in the past was a criticism of “blurring” at the time. Today, the real problem is that the party still has not clarified its direction and inclusive line.
If this move is only for the message of “we embrace everyone”, the CHP is just walking around with figures on the stage; it cannot set a direction and will deepen the problems.
Is a Change of Direction Possible?
If Tarhan is part of a search for a direction, he could shift the CHP's political line to a clearer, harsher and more statist one. This would directly affect internal party balances and voter perception.

Kılıçdaroğlu's Legacy and Lessons
Kılıçdaroğlu has left the CHP a legacy of inclusiveness, not only as a leader but also as an extremely valuable asset. The critical test for Tarhan and other actors is to learn from past opposition debates and make moves to honor this legacy.

The blur is here: The CHP's problem is not inclusiveness, but its application of inclusiveness without a framework and principles. The nationalist wing resists change, the reform wing cannot draw a clear line. Both are incomplete and inadequate.
Real Politics
In politics, it is not enough to be right; you need to be strong and effective. Narrow ideological purity cannot convince the masses. CHP is still not responding:
“Will it grow by preserving its identity, or will it save the day with showcase politics?”
The outcome is clear: Will Tarhan be an actor in this process or just the new face of the debate? If he is a showcase, the CHP will drown in old problems. If it is the beginning of a change of direction, a new balance may be established in Turkish politics.
