“It's Not Where You Come From, It's Where You Stand”

Those who think they are playing politics by labeling someone as “from TGRT”, “from there” or “from here” should first look at their own political past. Those who target Atakan Sönmez, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's chief press advisor, seem to be unaware of his years of revolutionary struggle, his political past and the line he walks with people who have paid the price.

The real issue is not where people come from, but where they stand today. It is sheer political hypocrisy for those who were in other structures yesterday and today speak of democracy to try to condemn others with “label politics”.

O masters
Do those who go around from screen to screen and lecture on morality and democracy today think that Ekrem İmamoğlu has forgotten that he used to work as a presenter at a TV channel that was discussed to be close to FETÖ in the past? If you are going to build politics by digging into people's pasts, you must first face your own history.

Likewise, those who attack others today on the basis of “FETÖ insinuation” also owe the public an explanation about their own past ties. Özgür Özel's family's education has been on the public agenda for years, with the alleged FETÖ-linked schools in Bornova on the agenda. It is also remembered that in the past he was criticized for adopting patronizing attitudes towards names close to the FETÖ organization in Manisa.

If politics is to be based on questioning the past;
Then everyone should shed light on their own past with the same courage.

On the one side, those who have risen through years of CHP's labor, its base and the votes of the people...
On the other side, an arrogant understanding of politics that today, drunk with power, declares everyone a “traitor”, a “supporter”, a “persona non grata”...

This language is not the language of democracy, it is the language of liquidation.
This understanding is not change, but a masked form of seat fighting.

Those who attack people who have worked for years within the CHP in an organized way should know this:
No one is your property.
CHP is not the company of a group.

It is tragicomic that names who were intertwined with different structures until yesterday are trying to measure revolutionism today. Those who label people through television channels must explain to the public in which corridors their own political careers have been shaped.

Because politics is not about shouting; it is about consistency.
And the people can now see who is really fighting and who is just grabbing power.
