Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the 7th Chairman of the CHP, will appear before a judge tomorrow in a case seeking a prison sentence and a political ban, which was filed based on five separate complaints lodged by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on various dates.
Before the hearing, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “My dear brothers and sisters, I said I’m going to present my defense, but don’t think I’m going there to defend myself. I’m going there to hold Erdoğan accountable for the corruption he has committed and ordered,” and he also called on his supporters to “close ranks.”.
Thousands of people responded to Kılıçdaroğlu’s call on social media, saying, “We’re with you, Kılıçdaroğlu.”.
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç issued a warning to politicians regarding the lawsuit filed against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the 7th Chairman of the CHP:
📌”If politicians follow his example, they’ll end up just like this former party chairman. This serves as a cautionary tale for our politicians.” pic.twitter.com/dEzDQiyxC5

A statement from Minister Tunç that sounds like a confession
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç made a striking statement regarding the case filed against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu ahead of tomorrow’s hearing.
Minister Tunç said:
“The former CHP Chairman is the best example of how one cannot get anywhere through smear campaigns and the politics of insults. He has been in politics for years, and has reached this point by engaging in politics solely through words that insult our President. We are still seeing him continue his insults, using these investigations and prosecutions as an excuse. Our people say ‘no’ to the politics of smear campaigns and ‘yes’ to constructive politics. Therefore, if today’s politicians—especially those who have taken these bad examples from the past as their own model—continue with the same kind of politics, their fate will be the same as that of this former chairman. Thus, this serves as a cautionary tale for our politicians.”
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç’s statement that all politicians should learn a lesson from the case also dispelled suspicions that the lawsuit was intended as a warning to politicians.
