Dilek Bozkurt/ HALKWEB In the investigation into the armed attack in Ümraniye in which soccer player Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı lost his life, a critical detail for the course of the case has come to light. It was determined that arrested singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu sent the location of the murder to the attacker Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu.
“Alaattin asked for the location”
Kalaycıoğlu made a statement regarding the message traffic that emerged as a result of the technical investigations of the Homicide Bureau teams. In his statement, Kalaycıoğlu argued that the location sharing was not related to a murder plan:
”Alaattin and I were on our way to the studio. We had sent the VIP vehicle ahead. Alaattin said to me, ‘Send me the location of the studio and I will forward it to the friends in the VIP vehicle’. That's why I sent the location to Alaattin's phone, which was with me.”
Attorney General's Office Responds to Prison Allegations
Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an official statement on the allegations spread on social media about Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's prison conditions: “She stays in a ward for 80 people, she cannot eat, she constantly faints”.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office shared the current situation in Marmara Women's Closed Penal Institution with the following data:
Kalaycıoğlu's unit has 16 rooms (with a capacity for 32 people) and accommodates a total of 63 people.
There are a total of 4 people in the room where the singer stays. On March 24, 2026, during the psychologist's interview, it was stated that no complaints were raised and there were no cases of fights within the ward or lack of beds.
WHAT HAPPENED:
On March 19, football player Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı was attacked with a gun in his car in Ümraniye and died in the hospital where he was hospitalized;
Seven people, including Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu and artist İzzet Yıldızhan, who were determined to have used the gun, were arrested and sent to prison. Security units are continuing to deepen the investigation to find out whether the attack was planned and the hierarchical link between the suspects.
