Today, following statements made by two ministries, I have been informed that an investigation has been opened on my behalf due to the presence of the film “Kanun Hükmü” in the National Documentary Competition of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

In order to listen to the voices of all parties, the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival team considered the unity and integrity of the festival while reselecting the film.

At this point, we, who feel responsible on behalf of cinema workers, are being portrayed as responsible and guilty for the incident. It is not possible for us to accept being described as supporters of any terrorist organization.
At this stage, we are taking a new decision and excluding the documentary “Kanun Hükmü” from the selection of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
