Fear is useless

The ongoing case in the Court of Appeal has disturbed some people's sleep day by day; it has also disturbed their psychology and the calibration of their tongues.

If the day we’ve been waiting for is to come, the hardships we endure are sacred.

That is exactly the situation we find ourselves in today.

On the one hand, there are those who turn a blind eye to the damage caused within society and the party by friendships and relationships that should never have been formed in the first place—and whose names are associated with allegations of corruption, bribery, and embezzlement…

Going even further, those who consider it their duty to defend all of this and the individuals named in the indictments…

Those who, by concealing the truths they know, hear, and see, await the order to attack driven by a desire to find someone to blame…

On the other hand, there are those who are subjected to daily social media lynchings, insults, and profanity simply for saying “WE WILL PURIFY OURSELVES”; those who stand up for the party’s institutional identity and place the concepts of MORALITY, HONOR, VIRTUE, and HONOR at the center of their lives, and who have been expelled without question by the party’s disciplinary committees…

This is exactly what is happening today.

It appears that as Özgür Özel and his leadership are forced to defend their actions and conduct—which are unlawful and violate the party’s bylaws—they are making statements that push the boundaries of decency further with each passing day.

The target of the grandiose statements made by certain so-called journalists and writers—who show no respect even for party tradition and, as if having lost control of their anger, are unable to bear the weight of their positions—is always the same name:

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his colleagues…

But what did Kılıçdaroğlu say?

“We will crush this party’s enemies within the very heart of this party.”

Although he was not involved in any legal proceedings, his ability to endure all the attacks, insults, and slanders with the composure expected of a party leader—maintaining his upright and proud demeanor even as tears welled up in his eyes—clearly demonstrated his leadership qualities.

The CHP’s escape from the vortex into which it has been dragged today is possible only by embracing once again the spirit of independence and freedom rooted in its history, with a cadre of competent, honest, and honorable members.

Without straying from the path and legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, it must rise from its own ashes.

On one side, those who have lost their way amid the political attacks…

On the other hand, those who cannot come to terms with the situation the party finds itself in…

Courts, indictments, and recent events that have shattered moral standards…

Whether biased or unbiased, public opinion polls now reveal a reality:

The CHP is becoming increasingly detached from the realities of society.

However, the statements made regarding national and global issues often fail to go beyond mere damage control.

As the court proceedings have progressed, the documents, information, and connections that have come to light, when taken together, have strengthened the expectation that the process could result in a ruling of “absolute nullity” due to allegations that the will of the delegates was manipulated in exchange for money at the CHP’s 38th National Congress.

The ongoing case in the Court of Appeal has disturbed some people's sleep day by day; it has also disturbed their psychology and the calibration of their tongues.

As those who display aggressive behavior see that even the opposition has begun to accept the possibility of “absolute nullity,” they are also revealing just how far one can stray from the leadership of a political party.

Those who stand on the side of patience and justice, however, are waiting—despite all the attacks and insults—for the day when the truth will stand firm and the wrongdoer will inevitably meet their just deserts.

Because their only thought is;

It is to free Atatürk’s CHP from corruption and the courtrooms.

that the memberships of those named in the indictments be suspended and that they be reinstated after being acquitted;

They advocate for the immediate expulsion of those who act in a manner contrary to the moral fabric of society.

They believe that true CHP members must restore the party to its status as a viable alternative for power by relying on competent personnel.

The fact that they are waiting for the courts to issue a ruling as soon as possible—and that they want this process, which hangs over the party leadership like the Sword of Damocles, to come to an end—is a sign that hope is still alive.

For two and a half years, their patience has been stretched to the limit, their nerves put to the test; yet they continue to walk the path they believe is right, gritting their teeth and clenching their fists…

Those who walk the path alongside their comrade Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu know this all too well:

Patience pays off.

And if that day ever comes…

Suffering is sacred.
