A Story of Loyalty: From Shepherd Fires to Courtrooms

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu

The legal processes that started after the shady congress that took place on November 4/5, 2023, which remained at the center of controversy for a long time, progressed like the links of a chain.

Quiet but heavy...
It was like a long walk, but with an expected outcome.

During this process, the struggle was not only fought in courtrooms. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his companions, who were subjected to all kinds of insults, curses and lynchings, believed that the end of patience is salvation.

And in the midst of all this, the shepherd's fires lit three years ago have multiplied and grown all over the country.

But it took courage to light the spark... They succeeded.

They made compromises. From their families, their children and their pockets.

They were labeled traitors. They were ostracized like stepchildren of the party. They were fired. They were expelled from the parties they had worked for years with two lines of writing.

They were the ones who did not give up on the values they believed in, the principles they defended and the leader they knew was right.

Because it was not just about a name.

It was about an understanding that they saw as one of their own.

Who do not forget their essence
Who doesn't deny where he came from...
Not crushed by the greatness of office...
The one who can push away the opportunities offered by the office...

It was a stance that shunned haram and defended halal.

This is what they believed in.

That is why they paid the price.

Their families... Their children... Their economy...

Some were expelled. Some were ostracized. Some were treated as “stepchildren” in the party they had worked for years.

But they did not back down.

“It took courage to light that shepherd's fire three years ago when it was said, ”Let the brave step forward.".

And there were those who showed that courage.

They experienced with tears in their eyes, swallowing, clenching their teeth and fists that every rose branch thrown sometimes weighs more than a stone. But they kept the struggle alive.

Perhaps that is why the words “We will purify” frightened some circles.

Because even though morality, virtue, honor and decency were concepts that were almost forgotten in the language of politics, they were still sacred to some people.

His devoted and self-sacrificing companions believed that this struggle was not an individual one.

There were people who met every Saturday night at the same time, with the same sounds.

Conversations in the Reflex rooms...

Shared ideas

Companions who encourage each other...

One of the locomotives of this work was Çetin Sağsöz.

One of the names that started with a phone call and turned into a partnership in struggle over time...

From Bingöl to Ankara, the common denominator was the same:

The values they believe in

People who patiently processed the thoughts of a labor pensioner, encouraged him to write, and raised the struggle...

Hussein Abi
Betül Hoca
Ms. Gülşah
Kemal Hodja

And many others...

Each of them became a link in the expanding chain of the struggle.

Because the struggle was not for themselves, but for everyone.

Then the day came.

On the day the court ruled...

The day that was believed to be the vindication of years of advocacy...

Maybe they were not children, but they rejoiced like children.

Because sometimes a decision at the end of a long struggle is not only a legal outcome, but also a relief from the burdens that have been carried for years.

Today, looking back, we see that some people fight not for office, but for faith.

And some commitments are unrequited.

Like the love of a son for his father.

Therefore, perhaps the last thing to say is this:

We will be with you tomorrow as we were with you yesterday.
Because some roads are walked not only with politics, but also with loyalty, labor and loyalty.

With love and respect...
