Eventually they returned to the familiar, shallow king-church conflict of medieval Europe.
The success achieved in the last local elections was the ripe fruit of the broad-based, inclusive and unifying politics that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had patiently woven for years, like digging a well with a needle. But this system was too cruel to let a person like Kılıçdaroğlu, who represents the public memory and founding will of this country, eat that fruit.
A gigantic conspiracy was set up, financed by the funded media, the gang of five and the conglomerates that poured all their assets into this operation, and in which internal party dynamics, delegates and ambitions were bought with money and promises.
The aim was not just to oust a chairman, but to completely destroy the centuries-old sycamore CHP by severing it from its roots. While the absolute nullifiers who defended the founding philosophy were purged, the party was handed over to unknown bagmen, zoomers who usurped wills in secret rooms, hippies who spun like weathervanes and American-fed subcontractors of transoceanic agendas.
While we have been debating for years about “democratic popular revolution or socialist revolution” with theoretical clarity and ideological honesty, the country has already passed into tribal culture with this surrenderist politics before we even went to Africa... With this wind of institutional collapse, which you have packaged as “historic success” and “change”, we are now galloping together at the speed of a fiber pipe towards that dark, micro-feudal liquidation order of the Middle Ages!
Candidacy Test: Kılıçdaroğlu's Cadres and the Fiasco of Change
The most concrete and naked proof of this collapse is the crisis of governance in local governments. The litmus paper is in front of us: While there has not been a single institutional resignation, not a single snitch, not a single deviation from principle in the parliamentary lists determined by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu with the utmost care, almost all of the mayoral candidates selected by Özgür Özel and his team under the mask of “change” have been characterized by crisis, meritlessness and suspicion.
Because the intentions were not pure. When appointing the mayors, the logic was “let's protect those who are prone to money laundering, cronies, sergeants and relatives”. The mandatory provisions of the statute, the principles of merit and the conscience of the organization were trampled on. Yet we have a stormy parliamentary election ahead of us that will determine the fate of the country! It is impossible to survive that big storm with this institutional frivolity and crony-sergeant relations.
The solution is clear: It is not to look at “what the dude says”, but to look at “what the Charter commands”, and to urgently put in office cadres who observe the rights of the servant and the law.
The Republican People's Party must break this siege. The way to do this is through the urgent re-inclusion of those strong, qualified and strong-willed names who have been left out of the party, who have been dismissed and purged, but who have an impact on the society.
A century of institutional functioning can only be restored by completely cleansing the party of all sorts of improper rumors, auctioneer mentality and snitches who stab each other behind closed doors.
The CHP must be cleansed of the selfish tribal mentality at the top and transformed into an oasis of justice and merit, like the legendary, clean and perfect city of Irem in literary narratives, where every honest, enlightened and patriotic member of the country would like to live in peace and would be eager to enter.
Otherwise, like Shaddad, who built palaces out of his arrogance and forgot about the people, these entrusted cadres will perish in the deserts of illusion they created, in the vortex of history's deserved defeat!
