Reactions to the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife by the United States continue to pour in.
The Anatolian Abdallar Cemevi Federation also made a statement and reacted strongly against US imperialism.
“The world has once again seen clearly and nakedly that US imperialism does not respect the will of the peoples, the sovereignty of states and international law.” The statement emphasized that the kidnapping of Venezuela's popularly elected President Nicolás Maduro by the US in a military operation shows that imperialism no longer even needs to hide its lawless, reckless and bullying character.
“This is not an ”operation“ but a direct coup d'état, a direct occupation attempt and an open state terrorism,” the statement said, adding, "This is not an attack on a person but on a people.
The statement continued as follows:
“The hand that reaches out to Maduro, in reality, reaches out to the will of the Venezuelan people, to Latin America's struggle for independence, to all the peoples who do not submit to imperialism.
This attack by the US is a new stage in its plans to bring Venezuela to its knees, which it has been besieging for years for its oil, underground riches and strategic location. This is the classic method of imperialism:
First the embargo, then impoverishment, then the lie of a “humanitarian crisis” and finally intervention by force of arms.
Reactions against this unlawfulness have risen all over the world.
Even the United Nations Human Rights mechanisms were forced to recognize that this action was a violation of international law. Russia, China, Latin American countries and many populist-socialist movements have described the US action as “an unacceptable imperialist crime”.
The voice echoing in the streets is clear: “Venezuela is not alone!”
As institutions that are the voice of the poor peoples of Anatolia, abdal, laborers, and those who resist with faith, they are against imperialism and for the right of peoples to self-determination,
They stated that they are against coups, occupations, kidnappings, embargoes and reject the US as the world gendarme:
“No law, no democracy, no discourse of “freedom” can legitimize the kidnapping of a head of state. This is tyranny, banditry, imperialism.
Let us not forget! History has repeatedly shown us that imperialists are temporary, peoples are permanent. The chains are broken, the resisting peoples win. The people of Venezuela will win. Latin America will win. All peoples who resist imperialism will win.”
In addition to the Anatolian Abdallar Cemevi Federation, Dostlar Muhabbeti Association and Anatolian Abdallar Assistance Association; Elmalı Friends Assistance and Solidarity Association, Sungurlu Erenleri Cem Association, Hüseyingazi Youth Union, Uzunlar Village Social Assistance and Solidarity Association and Delice Elmalı Village Assistance and Solidarity Association also signed the statement.
