Moments when Kılıçdaroğlu was pressured not to withdraw his candidacy: We won't let him!

In the second round of voting at the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Congress—which Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu lost—Özgür Özel, a member of parliament from Manisa, was elected party chairman.

When a simple majority could not be secured in the first round, party members went to Kılıçdaroğlu and pressured him not to withdraw.

In the footage, it was notable that a crowd—which included journalist İmambakır Üküş, who also serves as chief advisor to CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu—told Kılıçdaroğlu, ‘No, you can’t step down; we won’t let you.’.
