The recent events in Turkey are not just an “opposition movement” but an open political operation. Why? Because the figures, slogans and alliances used in this operation are diametrically opposed to the values, historical memory and national interests of the Turkish nation. A true Turkish opposition thinks about the future of the nation, but the picture we see here is completely different.
First: Is a Turk the same as someone who says, “The British are my relatives”?No, it is not. Being a Turk is not just a word written on your identity card. Being a Turk means being wholeheartedly connected to the thousand-year heritage of these lands, to the great chain that stretches from Alparslan to Atatürk. A mentality that defines the British as “my relatives” feeds not from the bosom of Anatolia, but from the interest calculations of other geographies.
This discourse is not a coincidence. It is the most classical method used by foreign powers who want to divide our nation throughout history: “You are like us, we are your relatives”. However, the Turkish nation is not a “relative” of the British or any other nation. Our relatives are our brothers and sisters with whom we fought shoulder to shoulder in Gallipoli, Sakarya and the War of Independence. Such statements can only be part of a political operation, because their aim is to break national resistance by diluting Turkish identity.
Second: Is a slogan shouter intertwined with FETÖ members the same as a sincere opposition for a “better tomorrow”?Absolutely not. On July 15, FETÖ marched on this nation with its tanks, weapons and coup attempt. That night, our heroic policemen, soldiers, and civilian citizens braved FETÖ's bullets and bombs. Now, it is a complete deception for those who are arm in arm with the same FETÖ remnants and chanting the same slogans to appear as “opposition”. The real opposition thinks about the future of the nation; those who cross paths with FETÖ cross paths with the enemy of the nation. “Better tomorrows” is a nice phrase, but those who carry the dark shadow of FETÖ to those tomorrows are the ones who actually want to darken our tomorrows. Because FETÖ's project is clear: To weaken and disintegrate Turkey and bring it under the control of foreign powers.
The purpose of this operation is clear:
- To undermine national unity and solidarity,
- To blur the historical memory of the Turkish nation,
- And most importantly, to sabotage the vision of the “Century of Turkey”.
There is and must be a real Turkish opposition. That opposition speaks within the nation, with the values of the nation, with the survival of the nation. Not with the remnants of FETÖ, not with those looking for foreign relatives, not with foreign-centered slogans. The difference between these two is the clearest evidence of a political operation.
Our nation has foiled many games throughout history. As it did on July 15, today, with the same ferocity and unity, it will frustrate this operation. Because the Turkish nation will not be fooled by those looking for “relatives” nor by those shouting slogans in the shadow of FETÖ.
Our path is clear: Turkey is Turkish and will remain Turkish. Better tomorrows can only be built with this consciousness.
