Reactions from within the CHP continue to emerge regarding the remarks—some of which border on racism—made by certain individuals who have recently joined the party.
Mustafa Kurban, the former CHP Bingöl Provincial Chair who has served as a party convention delegate without interruption for over 30 years, reacted on his social media account to the racist tendencies emerging within the party.

Kurban said, “I have been a member of the CHP for 38 years and have served in various positions within the party. The majority of the CHP’s grassroots membership consists of enlightened, democratic, and patriotic people. The party’s bylaws and platform clearly emphasize social democracy.”.
From time to time, there are those who make racist remarks. After causing harm to the party, they left.
”In recent days, we have witnessed racist rhetoric within the CHP. There are political parties in Turkey that espouse every shade of racism. There is no place for racist mindsets in the CHP. Racism is a mental illness," he said.
