The current stage of the capitalist system clearly shows that it is not only unworkable, but also that its consequences do not bring happiness to humanity.
In particular, the functions of education in reproducing labor and raising obedient people in accordance with the established order have reached a point that destroys human character and alienates people from themselves, the product they produce and nature.
In this context, we would like to talk about the effects of standardized schooling on children.
Here are some of the effects of standardized schooling on children;
- -Students are indifferent to the adult world. This prevents the transfer of thousands of years of experience to new generations.
Students' curiosity is either non-existent or almost non-existent. They cannot even concentrate their attention on the subjects of their choice, and their sense of curiosity disappears in a short time.
-Your students are not able to make the connection between today and tomorrow. They live in an endless present.
-Students are ahistorical! They do not realize that the past is important in determining the present and influencing their values and lives.
-Students are cruel to each other, lack compassion, laugh at weakness, are insensitive to those who need help.
Students lack sincerity and open-heartedness. They lack these feelings in building relationships.
Students are grade-obsessed! They do not take any stance against the school, teacher and family triad that reduces everything to grades.
-Students are dependent, passive and timid in the face of new challenges. They try to camouflage this timidity with displays of courage, anger and aggression.
The results are not exactly the results obtained in our country, but we see that we face similar results in the studies conducted in our country.
A fundamental reform of the education system is therefore necessary without delay.
