Nowruz is not just a change of season; it is a threshold where human beings, nature and life are simultaneously re-established. In that thin line between destruction and beginning, life finds a new path and human beings hold on to life in its simplest form.
Every darkness carries its own morning. Time freezes, words fall silent, hope retreats. But life changes direction at this very point. The power that accumulates from within is reborn at an invisible threshold. Nowruz is the name of this silent transformation.
We have been carrying Nowruz as a heritage of humanity for centuries. This value that we pass on from generation to generation is not just a tradition; it is life itself.
On the last Wednesday before Nowruz, “7 Levin” is prepared. Seven kinds of fruit are brought together, mixed and divided. It is eaten at home, given to neighbors, sent to the engaged girl, delivered to the sick, shared with children, and distributed at the cemetery. Because Nowruz is a holiday not only for the living, but also for those who are remembered along with the living. It brings the past, present and tomorrow together at the same table.
“7 Levin” represents the seven nevi, the seven kinds. But it is not just a number. It symbolizes seven days of time, seven colors of life, all states of human beings. In this respect, Nowruz is a unity that touches every generation, every color and every life.
Nowruz fire is not lit with fresh wood. It is lit with dry branches collected from the garden, anything old and useless. This is not just a fire, it is a purification. It is leaving behind the burden of the past and making room for the new.
That night the water in the house is not drunk. New water is bought, life is renewed with unused and unused water. Because Nowruz is not only the renewal of the soil, but also of the human being.
On the night of Nowruz, day and night are equalized. Neither one takes more than the other, nor is one superior to the other. That is why Nowruz is equal; it is equality, balance. This time when the sun and the moon are equal to each other is also a state of peace. Because where there is equality, there is harmony, not conflict.
The awakening of the cicada, the exit of the ant from its nest, the first bud falling on the sapling, the meeting of the chicken with the chick... Nowruz is the name of this great cycle in which life flows again. That is why Nowruz is not a day, but an understanding of life.
Every new day is a Nev-ruz. As long as one knows how to welcome that day with peace.
Today, our region is going through fire. The fire that falls on houses and burns cities consumes not only buildings but also hopes. Our wish is that this destructive fire will be replaced by the ancient fire that warms people and unites hearts.
The fire of Nowruz
Happy Nowruz.
We want one fire: The fire of love, equality and peace. Because this fire does not burn but warms.
