President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told reporters on the plane after the G20 Leaders Summit in India that after the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the People's Alliance will focus on working for a new Constitution.

Journalist Ali Kemal Erdem, one of the guests of the program, made an allegation about the planned amendment to the Constitution, claiming that the main goal is to include the phrase Muslim or Islam in the Constitution, and said, “This time they will want this phrase to be included in the Constitution: Turkey is a secular country with a Muslim majority.”.
In case of objection to the demands, they will point to that phrase in the Constitution
Erdem argued that if this phrase is included in the Constitution, it will have the following consequence: “When future demands are brought to the agenda, ‘Look, it is also mentioned in the Constitution. The majority of the people are Muslim. There are the requirements of Islam. They probably want that word to be included in the Constitution.”.
A long-standing demand of the Islamic community
Claiming that the Islamic community has been asking for the word Muslim or Islam to be included in the Constitution since the past, Erdem said, “After it was included, you objected to something tomorrow and said, “Look, brother, it is written in the Constitution. The majority of the people say Muslim. The principles of Islam are also clear.”.
