Reactions continue to the statement, which is said to have been issued on behalf of the 81 provincial chairpersons of the CHP and reportedly does not call for a party convention.
This time, the reaction came from Mustafa Ayan, the former CHP Provincial Chair of Kayseri.
In a post on his Twitter account addressed to the provincial chairpersons who signed the petition, Ayan said:,
“They signed the statement”
“The CHP provincial chairpersons have signed the statement. They didn’t inform the convention delegates—they didn’t even ask them. I don’t know if those signatures bind you, Mr. Chairpersons, but they certainly don’t bind me!”
”Some current and former CHP lawmakers had also issued statements expressing their objections to the statement in question.”
