Do you realize what you are celebrating?

Do you, who call yourselves social democrats or leftists, realize that you are celebrating the victory of a Zionist? If Deniz Gezmiş, who fought for Palestine, were alive, he would spit in your face.

Some politicians and so-called pseudo-leftists in Turkey are celebrating the Hungarian election results with enthusiasm. I ask you: What are you celebrating?

Don't you know that the new president of Hungary is sympathetic to Israel and Zionism? Let's say you are emotional, don't you see that the communist party won the elections in Hungary, did the working class become free, no it didn't, he is not a leftist. And don't you know that he is not a leftist, but a right-wing Zionist bourgeois politician? But no. Our fake left, manipulated pencil pushers and fake social democrats are identifying Erdogan with the former Hungarian leader Orban and then celebrating his election victory in Hungary. Excuse me, but what are you celebrating?

If Turkey and Israel were to have a conflict tomorrow, do you think the new Zionist president, whom you shouted for victory, will support Turkey or Israel? Don't you see it?

Are you celebrating that a Zionist has become the head of Hungarian politics, or that Hungary, like the United States, has become a hostage of Israel?

What will happen next in foreign policy? Will the new Hungarian administration support Israel and turn its back on the oppressed nations? Do you ever think about that?

Hostage politics and the lie of national sovereignty

First of all, one should ask the following: When Hungary becomes unable to take independent steps in foreign policy, will you realize the gravity of the situation when close relations with Israel coincide with US strategic interests in the region? If Hungary's path cannot go beyond the framework set by Tel Aviv and Washington, then how sincere is the elected government's emphasis on “national sovereignty”? Won't it be too late when you realize this?

For those celebrating the elections, these questions are of course disturbing. Because what is often celebrated is not policy independence, but being caught in the wind of populist rhetoric. However, even if a country appears to be in full control on its own territory, if it is under the sway of a certain actor in the international arena, that electoral victory becomes an incomplete and even false celebration.

Is there any guarantee of ignoring it?

Tomorrow, when another child dies in Palestine, the President of Spain will issue a statement of condemnation, while our fake left will applaud. Is there any guarantee that Hungary will not turn a blind eye?

Do you, who call yourselves social democrats or leftists, realize that you are celebrating the victory of a Zionist? If Deniz Gezmiş, who fought for Palestine, were alive, he would spit in your face.

Celebrating the election results is of course a democratic right. But the sincerity of this celebration is directly proportional to whether the country is really acting on its free will. If the government that emerged from the election is busy fulfilling the difficult demands of another country by saying “no”, then the celebrations are unfortunately just an empty show.

The question is: Does the will of the electorate reinforce the country's independence, or does it merely legitimize existing engagements?

Let me ask a more friendly question, in Hungary the alliance against Orban lost the last election, just like the alliance in our country lost against Erdogan, so will you celebrate even if a Zionist comes to get rid of the power in our country if necessary?

It is this answer that is worth celebrating. But it seems that no one is looking for the answer.
