It was learned that an investigation was being conducted against the Polat couple for 4 separate crimes: ‘Establishing and leading a criminal organization’, ‘Being a member of a criminal organization’, ‘Laundering the proceeds of crime’ and ‘Opposition to the Tax Procedure Law’.
It was revealed that the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was conducting an investigation against 13 suspects, including Engin Polat's father Sezgin Polat, his brother Alper Kürşat Polat, his grandmother Zehra Yılmaz, his uncle's wife Nilgül Yılmaz, Dilan Polat's siblings Can Doğu and Sinem Sıla Doğu. Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that there was concrete evidence that the suspects committed crimes and obtained these assets from crimes and their assets were seized.
