Known as the “90 generation” within the CHP and coming from within the struggle, they made a manifesto-like statement against the current political approaches and the “harami order”: “This fight is not your personal field!”
NEWS CENTER - A group of party members who grew up in the grassroots of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and served as ’line soldiers“ in the harsh political climate of the 90s have launched a harsh protest against the current course of politics and the figures who are moving away from ethical values. The text, titled ”Return to Your Essence“, is a clear warning against the use of leftist values and revolutionary ethics for personal interests.
”Leftism is Morality, Honor”
The statement reacted against the transformation of politics into a “means of enrichment” and defined true leftism. The following statements stood out in the text:
”In our book, a leftist is someone who does not lay a hand on the orphan's right, who does not lie to his people. Leftism is morality, honor, revolutionary decency. Those who speak lies, those who auction their values for the sake of a seat, are useful apparatuses that provide a comfort zone for their political bosses.”
”Your Problem is Not the People, but Your Miserable Power Accounts”
“Know your place” against those who deceive the people by using the means of the order, the statement said, emphasizing that the struggle was not waged “for the sake of glory in the mansions”. Representatives of the 90 generation criticized those who entered into dirty alliances by wearing the mask of “leftists” in the current political conjuncture with the following words:
“Your problem is not the power of the people, but your own small, miserable power calculations. This legacy belongs to the people who paid the price before anyone else.”
”You Look at Exchange Rates, We Look at Lines of Resistance”
The text drew attention to the gap between politicians and the real owners of the people, and emphasized the difference in vital priorities. “You look at gold and exchange rates in the morning; we look at the resistance against imperialism in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East,” the statement continued, emphasizing ideological determination.
”Palaces and reigns collapse...”
Ending with the immortal lines of Adnan Yücel, the statement stated that the struggle will continue until the earth is liberated and gave the message “Long live the honorable struggle of the people, long live the Republican People's Party”.
This manifesto, which was shared on social media with the hashtag #AslolanCHP, resonated with the party base and was interpreted as a signal that “those who carry the burden of resistance on their shoulders” will take a more active role in politics.

We, the youth of the 90s, even if you don't know our names, are the sons and daughters of this country who grew up in the frost of the streets, who were forged on the anvil of struggle, who made politics by paying the price with blood, lives and prisons, and we are the line soldiers of this cause.
Today, in our forties and fifties, we are part of that unshakable will that this harami order has passed over like a steamroller, but has not compromised its purity, ideology and revolutionary morality even for a single day.
You may not be aware of it because your class was empty, but in our book it is written that a leftist is one who does not take the orphan's right, a leftist is one who does not lie to his people, leftism is morality, honor, revolutionary decency. Those who lie with their tongues, those who act as door servants for their own benefit, those who put their values up for auction for the sake of a seat, those who are involved in every disgrace under the mask of leftism and provide a comfort zone for their political bosses, are pathetic useful apparatuses for their brothers. We know them all.
Now we give a clear and unequivocal warning to these scoundrels who deceive the people as ‘we are leftists’ with the means of the order.
We have not shouldered this struggle with our lives for years so that you can live in splendor in your mansions, so that you can hold office and position and look down on the people, so that you can be comfortable in your dirty alliances while enjoying your pleasures.
Our political struggle is not your personal field of personal fortune, not your punching bag. This fight, this honorable march was for the dignity of the people against the crooked order and palaces. Without hesitation, without looking back, without calculating the consequences, without saying “what's in it for us”, we took our place at the forefront, finding it sufficient that this fight is a fight for freedom against fascism. Know your place!
The real owners of this politics, those who carry the burden of resistance on their shoulders, will not do you justice. We are neither partners nor silent spectators of your rotten, immoral order, your crooked and dark relations. Your problem is not the power of the people, but your own small, miserable power calculations. But engrave this in your little world; this struggle is not your toy. This legacy belongs to the people who paid the price before anyone else.
This may sound like a soldier's souvenir to you. But we believed that we came to this world not to make a fortune and pass by, but to think like a leader, to fight like a soldier, to leave a mark. Your values have a material equivalent.
There is still no material value that can silence us, integrate us into the order, make us obey this and that, there never has been. The first thing you look at in the newspapers in the morning is the gold and foreign exchange rates, the first thing we look at is how the resistance movements against imperialism in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East are doing. Maybe temporarily your voices may be louder, your bank accounts may have many zeros, but we are in the right place. We keep our consciousness and our anger and we are waiting for our day. You are trying to imitate us, but no matter how hard you try, Nâzım Hikmet, Adnan Yücel, Enver Gökçe, Ahmed Arif remain in your mouth. You talk about currency movements, leave the poets of a fight you don't believe in alone. These beautiful words are not fit for your plazas, but for the protest areas;
“It's not over yet, that fight continues
And it will continue,
Until the earth becomes the face of love!”
