CHP Kayseri Provincial Chairman Ümit Özer, during his visit to Özvatan District Presidency, allegedly said, “Alevis are enemies of this party. The more I get to know Alevis, the more I admire MHP members” and some district executives allegedly reacted to these remarks.
In response to the allegations that have become a hot topic in Kayseri, Hacıbektaş Cultural Association Kayseri Branch called for a black wreath to be placed in front of Kayseri Provincial Directorate tomorrow at 15.30 to react to the remarks of Provincial Chairman Ümit Özer.
Upon these allegations, Provincial President Ümit Özer made a statement. In a written statement, Özer described the allegations as “an organized smear campaign”.
CHP Provincial Chairman Özer made the following statements in his statement: “Dear friends, unfortunately, since the day we won the election after the democratic race in our provincial congress, we have been systematically confronted with all kinds of fraud, slander and smear campaigns.
We regret to see that these smear games, organized and consciously carried out by similar individuals and groups, have become increasingly ugly.
These people, who have made it a profession to provoke every statement we make, every party event we organize, who try to damage our unity with ugly comments on social media, are now trying to muddy the water again by taking these ugliness to an even higher level, by trying to show words that have not been said as if they have been said, things that have never happened as if they have happened!
Dear friends, politics is to produce ideas, to fight for the people, for the right. However, those who cannot do this, those who cannot speak, those who have no action other than producing words with the keyboard and creating chaos instead of struggling in these difficult days we are in, are looking for the solution again in lies, slander and smear campaigns, as they always do!
Finally, I would like it to be known that the ugly allegations put forward by some people in an organized manner have no reality.
Regarding the unfounded allegations that some people who cannot digest the electoral defeat and whose comfort is disturbed, put forward on social media, systematically continue, write and print, I would like to state that everyone is obliged to prove their claims.
He who cannot prove his allegation is a traitor, immoral!
These people, who have failed in all their staged games and all their immoral attempts have ended in failure as they deserved, now want to make our Alevi brothers and sisters the tools of their ugly ambitions.
He talks about unspoken words and events that did not happen as if they happened.
Our hearts and paths are one with our Alevi souls who stood against the oppressor, on the side of the oppressed, and did not remain silent in the face of injustice in the Karbala of every era, in every period of history.
My daughter-in-law, whom I recently experienced the happiness of having a daughter, and whom I am happy and proud of, is also an ALEVI, she is dear, she is our life, she is the precious one of our family.
I would like it to be known that we have never been, and will never be, those who sow the seeds of discrimination, those who see every means as acceptable for their seats, and those who foment the language of hatred.
We will be among those who say come, let us be one, let us be one, let us be one, let us be alive.
May God rehabilitate these people who attack left and right like a truck with a broken brake, who unfortunately, we see with regret, have lies in their mouths, hate on their tongues, write their systematic slander on social media, and are buried under their slander.
May Allah protect everyone from your slander and lies.

Dear friends, we have not and will not aim to respond to these people and their baseless allegations. However, it has become imperative to make such a statement due to the efforts of this mentality to capitalize on a non-existent event and to make unfounded allegations even uglier in their own spiritual world. With the forgiveness of our sensitive party members and our souls, we are making this statement to put a stop to this ugliness, albeit with regret.
While the country is on fire, the neighborhood is on fire, pensioners and laborers are struggling to make ends meet, suicides, gambling threats, poverty, corruption and bans are rampant, we are not concerned with responding to the baseless and outrageous allegations of these people who carry water to the mill of the government and try to divert our energy elsewhere.
However, we will not allow our well-intentioned comrades, our citizens to be deceived and deceived by those who are uncomfortable with the growing hope by standing against the change in the party by getting uglier and uglier every day with the ambition of losing seats, and we will not allow these people to find the square empty and play horses as they wish!
As before, we will spend our energy not to respond to these baseless allegations and social media ugliness, but to find solutions to the problems of our people.
We know that the sun does not shine.
Those who act with the logic of throwing mud will drown in the mud they throw and will be buried under their slander.
We will not surrender to this and similar dirty language that comes to us with lies and slander, to these dirty games and plans that emanate from the same source.
Together with all our values that we have always cherished in the people's party, with the spirit of the Kuvayi Milliye of liberation and establishment, with the Turkish, Kurdish, Sunni and Alevi, we will continue to struggle with the unifying power of Turkey that makes us who we are.
