X-Ray Mandatory in Hospitals: A Demand for Life Safety

Posters don't stop violence. Statements do not stop violence. Only swift law and real deterrence will stop violence.

Violence against health workers is no more “isolated” It is not. This is a growing security problem.

Hospitals are places of healing. But today, many physicians, nurses and health workers go to work thinking:
“Will anything happen to me today?”

Because in the same country, while security screening is standard at the entrance of a shopping mall, it is still not at the entrance of a hospital. This is unacceptable.

We are now “condemnation” We don't want to.
We do not want explanations.
We don't want statements.

We want concrete measures.

Our demands are clear:
1. Install X-ray machines at all hospital entrances.
2. Standardize bag checks and body searches.
3. Knives, weapons and all kinds of sharp objects are not allowed in the hospital.
4. Make panic button / silent alarm mandatory in examination rooms and emergency areas.
5. The physician should not be left alone in the room during risky moments such as giving news of death, explaining a poor prognosis, refusing an inappropriate request.
6. In cases of violence, the process should not be left on the employee's shoulders; the hospital administration should make an official report, collect the evidence and initiate the judicial process.
7. Practices such as “good behavior / provocation / postponement” in cases of violence encourage the aggressor. Deterrence must be clear.

Let everyone know this:
Posters don't stop violence. Statements do not stop violence. Only swift law and real deterrence will stop violence.

We do not accept this system where health workers are left alone.
