Anyone who tries to explain today's situation in Turkey under a single heading is mistaken.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is not enough to say \u201dthe economy is bad\".
\n\u201cTo say that \u201dpolitics is tense\" is an understatement.<\/p>\n
Because this is not a crisis in one area.
\nA corrosion of all layers of the system.<\/p>\n
There are rules but no trust.
\nThere are institutions but no faith.
\nProcesses seem to work but do not produce results.<\/p>\n
It is here that society begins to unravel unnoticed.<\/p>\n
Look carefully...<\/p>\n
People are no longer unhappy just because they cannot make ends meet.
\nEven if he gets by, he is not at peace.<\/p>\n
Because it's not about money alone.
\nThe issue is the loss of a sense of reciprocity.<\/p>\n
You work but you don't get paid.
\nYou look right, but you are not appreciated.
\nYou are patient but you can't move forward.<\/p>\n
And here's the most offensive thing:
\nNo one believes that this situation is temporary anymore.<\/p>\n
The balance of a society is maintained by three things:
\nFairness, predictability and labor-value balance.<\/p>\n
Today all three are weakened.<\/p>\n
Justice is questionable,
\nif tomorrow is unpredictable,
\nand labor produces no results...<\/p>\n
Society is not only impoverished.
\nIt dissolves from the inside.<\/p>\n
Because one doesn't just want to live;
\nhe wants to feel that he's moving forward.<\/p>\n
The economy is part of this picture, yes.
\nBut it is not the only explanation.<\/p>\n
Because today even those with high incomes are restless.
\nBecause fear does not only come from empty pockets,
\nfrom the ground shifting.<\/p>\n
You are starting a business but you are not sure if you can sustain it.
\nYou buy a house but you don't know what it will be worth tomorrow.
\nYou raise a child but you cannot predict what kind of country it will grow up in.<\/p>\n
This cannot be measured in numbers.
\nThis is a direct loss of a sense of trust in life.<\/p>\n
This is where the most dangerous break begins:<\/p>\n
No one says it out loud, but everyone feels it-
\nwe are not safe in this system.<\/p>\n
What guarantee today,
\nwhat's clear tomorrow,
\nnor is the labor certainly worthwhile.<\/p>\n
People don't take risks anymore.
\nHe is retreating.
\nIt is shrinking.
\nIt gets quieter.<\/p>\n
And when a society becomes silent...
\ndissolution accelerates.<\/p>\n
This is exactly the picture we see on the streets today:<\/p>\n
No one is fighting but everyone is tense.
\nNo one is shouting but everyone is angry.
\nNobody says they have given up, but everybody has given up a little bit.<\/p>\n
Smiles are short, conversations superficial, hopes cautious...<\/p>\n
This is not a state of explosion.
\nThis is the silent phase of an order that is collapsing from within.<\/p>\n
And perhaps the most critical issue is this:<\/p>\n
This picture did not happen in a day.<\/p>\n
It came with small little normalized mistakes.
\n\u201cLet's keep quiet about this too\u201d...
\n\u201cNow is not the time\u201d...
\n\u201cIt doesn't touch us\u201d...<\/p>\n
Every silence,
\nevery acceptance,
\nevery ignored injustice...<\/p>\n
It prepared the ground for today's great erosion.<\/p>\n
It is not wealth that sustains a society.
\nIt is a sense of justice, a sense of balance, a sense of reciprocity.<\/p>\n
When they disappear
\nBefore people became poor
\nit loses its meaning.<\/p>\n
And a society that has lost its meaning,
\nquietly disperses.<\/p>\n
The most dangerous thing is this:
