The US Democratic Party is the oldest surviving political party in the world, dating back to January 8, 1828.<\/p>\n
So how can change happen in parties? Should it happen?<\/p>\n
The US Democratic Party was founded by those who wanted to protect the economic interests of southern agrarian lords and to preserve the social order that supported the system of slavery and was based on white male supremacy. In other words, it was founded as a party in favor of black slavery and white supremacy.
\nIn those days, if you had said that a black man like Obama would be president, you would have been accused of being out of your mind, maybe even your head would have gone.<\/p>\n
The Republican Party, now occupying the White House and represented by the current president, Donald Trump, was originally founded by northerners who wanted to outlaw slavery, favored an economically active and powerful federal government, and objected to discriminatory policies against Native Americans and immigrants. Today, Trump's rhetoric and MAGA ideology is the opposite.<\/p>\n
What does that mean?<\/p>\n
Parties can change just as nature changes. These changes do not affect every person and society in the same way; there are those who see them positively and those who see them negatively. The sun and cold do not warm or chill everyone the same.<\/p>\n
Will party politics change in our country?<\/p>\n
I don't remember, but according to the stories, when the military power was the political power, when it was at its peak, the most feared thing was \u201cCommunism\u201d. It is even said that out of fear that Communism would come, imam hatip schools were opened in order to bring the people closer to \u201creligion\u201d before they turned to communism. Today, in our country ruled by imam hatip graduates, they have done everything that \u201csocial democrats\u201d and \u201csocial state\u201d should do for all citizens regardless of language, religion, race, gender and identity. If you see the developments in our country from education to health, you will understand. The fact that they even made \u201cMay 1\u201d a holiday and a holiday is an example.<\/p>\n
Those who criticize the rope thrown by Mr. Devlet Bah\u00e7eli from the rostrum of the parliament yesterday in order to disrupt today's atmosphere of peace should be told about this change.<\/p>\n
