In recent days, two types of news have been making headlines in the press almost every day: \u201cslander allegation\u201d and \u201cconfession statement\u201d.<\/p>\n
Someone is accusing someone else, someone is deciphering someone else.
\nThese outrages are no coincidence. The cause of these evils we are exposed to is the system set up by political brokers who have made this country unlivable through their own networks of self-interest.<\/p>\n
When we pay attention, we see the same group under all evils. Names change, signboards change, parties change; but the mentality does not change.<\/p>\n
Their modus operandi is the same in every party: They cozy up to power, they look for opportunities and hold positions. They seek office not the cause, rent not the people.<\/p>\n
They try to find a position in every party; they have no ideology, only interests. They settle wherever the dirty order is and reproduce rapidly<\/p>\n
Within this network; there are tenders, bribery, plunder, theft, discrimination, corruption, injustice, meritlessness, slander, betrayal<\/p>\n
There is complete immorality.<\/p>\n
Slanderers and confessors emerge from this rottenness. .<\/p>\n
Most of the time, they appear in unexpected places and at unexpected times as \u201cpresident\u201d, \u201cdeputy\u201d, \u201cconsultant\u201d, \u201ccoordinator\u201d or \u201cfavorite\u201d of a power center.<\/p>\n
Both the slanderer and the confessor are figures linked to power.
\nThe slanderer speaks to gain or maintain power.
\nThe confessor speaks when he loses power or when the balance of power shifts.
\nThe motivation for the emergence of both is similar: interest, positioning and protection.<\/p>\n
Slander is often a means to weaken an opponent.
\nConfession is often a strategy to maintain a position, to move to a safer space and to protect oneself.<\/p>\n
When the balance of power shifts, the confessor emerges. The person who was silent yesterday, or even part of the system, begins to speak out when the wind turns against them. This speech is not always a pure moral awakening; it is often a reflex of protection, an attempt to change position and move closer to the new center of power.<\/p>\n
Both figures feed on the weakness of institutional morality.<\/p>\n
The deadbeat system produces both the slanderer and the confessor. As long as the wheel of this deadbeat system turns, it will continue to produce these twins.<\/p>\n
The slanderer speaks as long as the system is strong.
\nA confessor speaks when the system is shaken.
\nOne is armed with false allegations, the other with inside information.
\nBut both operate on a ground where knowledge is instrumentalized for power.<\/p>\n
The rotten system first produces slander.
\nIt creates space through slander, fear and discrediting.<\/p>\n
Then, when the crack grows, the insiders turn to confession.
\nThis cycle is the political mechanics of institutional decay.<\/p>\n
A robust order cannot harbor a slanderer; an independent judiciary and a free media limit him. Nor can the confessor become a bargaining figure, because transparency already makes the truth visible.<\/p>\n
A rotten system produces its own actors.
\nAnd those actors are cogs in the same wheel, even if they appear to be enemies.
\nThey are soul mates.<\/p>\n
The constant circulation of this news generates two emotions in society:
\nHopelessness and desensitization.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe perception that \u201deveryone is doing it anyway\", the constant sense of crisis and uncertainty about the future permeate society.
\nThis weakens democratic culture.
\nThe citizen is either completely neutralized or lives in a state of rage.<\/p>\n
If success in a society is measured not by merit but by loyalty; if critical thinking is considered \u201cbetrayal\u201d; if the law is not independent; if public administration is not transparent... there will be slanderers and confessors.<\/p>\n
