H\u00dcR-SEN Confederation President Levent Kuruo\u011flu reacted to the rights violations in PYY Kargo with a written statement.<\/p>\n
Kuruo\u011flu said, \u201cAt PTT, weight and size limits for cargo transportation exist only in the legislation and are completely ignored in the field. Especially heavy and bulky products sent via PTT Shopping Mall are forced to be carried by a single delivery personnel without taking any precautions.<\/p>\n
Kuruo\u011flu stated that the 30 kilogram limit specified in the legislation is violated and said, \u201cloads that require equipment and more than one personnel to carry, such as white goods, are carried up to the floor and PTT workers are exposed to the risk of injury. This practice is a clear occupational health and safety offense.\u201d.<\/p>\n
Kuruo\u011flu made the following statements in the continuation of his statement;<\/p>\n
This understanding, carried out under the name of public service, is a system that devalues labor and ignores the health of workers. Delivery pressure and commercial calculations are prioritized over human life.<\/p>\n
PTT workers are not porters!<\/p>\n
If these negligent practices are not stopped immediately, the responsibility for every health loss and every occupational accident will fall on the administrators and political will who fail to fulfill their duties.<\/p>\n
A separate delivery system for heavy and bulky cargo should be established immediately, with appropriate equipment and adequate staffing. Legislation must be implemented on the ground, not on paper.<\/p>\n
