But there is a silence. A heavy, uncomfortable silence. As if the institution in question <strong>\u201cfrom us\u201d<\/strong> as if it is necessary to stop. As if when a politically close party is mentioned, we act as if such a thing cannot happen there.<\/p>\n<p>But in this country, children are not harmed among strangers; they are harmed in the places they trust the most.<\/p>\n<p>In the family, at school, in the hospital, in care centers...<br \/>\nReligion, spirituality, <strong>\u201cGod's relic\u201d<\/strong> where the discourse is most established.<br \/>\nSo <strong>\u201cdon't leave your eyes behind\u201d<\/strong> everywhere it's called.<br \/>\nBut when it comes to institutions that we feel we belong to, that we think we know, suddenly <strong>\u201clet's wait\u201d<\/strong> we're starting to say. We are silent.<br \/>\nThis is not only a sick reflex; it is also a dangerous one.<br \/>\nBecause both evil and good are trans-ideological.<br \/>\nNo ideology, no political view is innocent in this regard.<br \/>\nThat's why I'm looking for a place<strong> \u201cfrom us\u201d<\/strong> does not protect children.<br \/>\nOn the contrary, it makes them more vulnerable.<br \/>\nMoreover, what we know and what is reported in the press is only the visible face. Every year, thousands of children report abuse, violence and neglect. Most of them are lost in silence, most of them are not even recorded.<br \/>\nWhat we remember is a very small part of what we have forgotten.<br \/>\nEvery time<strong> \u201cit will never happen again\u201d, \u201cwe will never forget\u201d<\/strong> and swearing oaths.<br \/>\nThen time passes.<br \/>\nAnd it is forgotten.<br \/>\nS\u0131la has been forgotten.<br \/>\nNarin is forgotten.<br \/>\nLeila has been forgotten.<br \/>\nChildren who were abused in sects, foundations and Koran courses affiliated to the Diyanet were forgotten.<br \/>\n<strong>\u201cEscrow\u201d<\/strong> delivered by saying, <strong>\u201csafe\u201d<\/strong> children who were harmed in places they thought were forgotten.<br \/>\nNewborn babies who died in state custody were forgotten.<br \/>\nBabies who were crippled by negligence and starved to death were forgotten.<br \/>\nChildren who burned to death in poverty were forgotten.<br \/>\nDozens and hundreds of children who shocked us all when they were in the press were forgotten.<br \/>\nIt is forgotten.<br \/>\nFirst we experience pain.<br \/>\nWe are rebelling.<br \/>\nWe are devastated.<br \/>\nThen we slowly shut up.<br \/>\nMaybe because we are human.<br \/>\nMaybe because we can't carry so much evil all the time.<br \/>\nMaybe because we think forgetting is a way to survive.<br \/>\nBut with every forgetting, we also accept this:<br \/>\nHow cruel people can be.<br \/>\nHow quickly he gets used to it.<br \/>\nTo pain, to evil, to the destruction of someone else's child.<br \/>\nBecause in this country, pain is rapidly becoming an agenda that needs to be managed.<br \/>\nInstitutions are trying to protect themselves, politics is trying to avoid the issue, and we are trying not to face uncomfortable questions.<br \/>\nAnd almost every day children are left alone;<br \/>\nabused, killed.<br \/>\nThen there is outrage.<br \/>\nNews is being made.<br \/>\nThen life resumes from where it left off...<br \/>\nAnd<br \/>\nThe streets are never full for babies and children.<br \/>\nPolitics does not scream for babies and children.<br \/>\nWe often find ourselves defending the mistakes of adults, not babies and children.<br \/>\nMaybe because it's hard to face.<br \/>\nMaybe because it's hard to accept.<br \/>\nBut these children are not just the children of their parents;<br \/>\nbodies, memories, lives that carry the tomorrow of this country.<br \/>\nAnd we knead that tomorrow from infancy with fear, insecurity, violence and death.<br \/>\nThus, with every forgotten child, we are getting used to a slightly darker place in this country.<br \/>\nAnd maybe we should stop right here and look at ourselves and ask:<br \/>\nWhat humanity are we giving up while children are going through this?<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With every forgotten child, we are getting used to a darker place in this country.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":26,"featured_media":282069,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[286],"tags":[289],"class_list":{"0":"post-282065","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-yazarlar","8":"tag-manset"},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/282065","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/26"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=282065"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/282065\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":282070,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/282065\/revisions\/282070"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/282069"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=282065"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=282065"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/halkweb.com.tr\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=282065"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
