We begged, \u2018Don't nominate this man.\u2019 I went to his room and begged. It was discussed for minutes in the PM. No one wanted it. Kemal K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7daro\u011flu did not listen to any of us.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The response to this statement came from a PM member of that period who attended the Party Assembly (PM) meeting where the candidate lists were discussed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"tr\">I spoke to one of the PM members of that period who attended the meeting where the candidate lists were discussed.<\/p>\n<p>I quote exactly what he said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no discussion for any candidate in that meeting. There was no discussion even on the name Sadullah Ergin. I think Mr. Ali Mahir is either misremembering or confusing the events.\u201d.<\/p>\n<h3>Who and how did the CHP nominate candidates?<\/h3>\n<p>The fact that every deputy who resigned from the CHP and joined the AK Party was described as \u2018close to K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7daro\u011flu\u2019 brought the debate on the criteria used by the former members of the CHP's \u2018candidate selection commission' to select candidates back to the agenda.<\/p>\n<p>For the May 14, 20203 General Elections, the party's candidate nomination commission consisted of CHP Secretary General Selin Sayek B\u00f6ke, CHP Parliamentary Group Deputy Chair Engin \u00d6zko\u00e7, CHP Party Spokesperson Faik \u00d6ztrak, CHP Deputy Chairpersons Veli A\u011fbaba, Onursal Ad\u0131g\u00fczel, O\u011fuz Kaan Sal\u0131c\u0131, Muharrem Erkek and B\u00fclent Tezcan.<\/p>\n<p>Engin \u00d6zko\u00e7 was the commissioner responsible for Mersin.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Sadullah Ergin isminde dahi bir tart\u0131\u015fma olmad\u0131.
