Economic Justice and Basic Services<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emlak vergileri d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck tutulmal\u0131, halk\u0131n s\u0131rt\u0131ndaki ekonomik y\u00fck kald\u0131r\u0131lmal\u0131, su, ula\u015f\u0131m ve temel hizmetler ucuz veya \u00fccretsiz olmal\u0131; herkesin eri\u015fimine a\u00e7\u0131k ve s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir olmal\u0131; bu sadece ekonomik bir zorunluluk de\u011fil, ayn\u0131 zamanda halk\u0131n ya\u015fam hakk\u0131n\u0131n g\u00fcvenceye al\u0131nmas\u0131d\u0131r; gelir da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131nda en y\u00fcksek %10\u2019luk kesim \u00fclke servetinin %60\u2019\u0131na sahipken belediyelerin vergi politikalar\u0131 adaletsizli\u011fi derinle\u015ftiriyor.<\/p>\n

Traffic and Air Quality<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our cities must breathe, traffic chaos must end, public transportation must be everyone's right, bicycle paths, walking areas and green corridors must be increased; air pollution cannot threaten public health; the annual rate of premature deaths due to air pollution in Turkey is around 45,000 and the municipality is obliged to protect public health.<\/p>\n

Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness<\/strong><\/p>\n

T\u00fcrkiye deprem ku\u015fa\u011f\u0131nda yer al\u0131yor, n\u00fcfusun %65\u2019i y\u00fcksek riskli b\u00f6lgelerde ya\u015f\u0131yor; buna ra\u011fmen belediyeler deprem toplanma alanlar\u0131n\u0131 halk\u0131n kullan\u0131m\u0131na a\u00e7m\u0131yor; kentsel d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm projeleri \u00e7o\u011fu zaman rant odakl\u0131d\u0131r, halk\u0131n g\u00fcvenli\u011fi ikinci plana itiliyor; depreme dayan\u0131kl\u0131 konutlar ve g\u00fcvenli toplanma alanlar\u0131 planl\u0131, \u015feffaf ve adil bir bi\u00e7imde hayata ge\u00e7irilmelidir; afet an\u0131nda halk\u0131n maddi ve manevi olarak korunmas\u0131 bir tercih de\u011fil zorunluluktur.<\/p>\n

Against Corruption and Nepotism<\/strong><\/p>\n

Belediyelerde yolsuzluk, kay\u0131rmac\u0131l\u0131k ve usuls\u00fczl\u00fck s\u0131radan h\u00e2le gelmi\u015ftir; ihalelerin %72\u2019si \u015feffaf de\u011fil ve kamu kaynaklar\u0131 \u00f6zel \u015firketlere aktar\u0131l\u0131yor; halk\u0131n belediyelere olan g\u00fcveni ciddi \u015fekilde sars\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r; art\u0131k susmak, su\u00e7a ortak olmakt\u0131r; belediyeler denetlenmelidir, halk\u0131n denetim hakk\u0131 g\u00fcvence alt\u0131na al\u0131nmal\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n

Local Government Law: People's Guarantee<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Local Government Law will ensure that municipalities work for the people, strengthen mechanisms of control and transparency, guarantee the people's right to say and decide, and it is only with this legal framework that the fight against rent and corruption is possible.<\/p>\n

People's Demands are Clear and Unambiguous<\/strong><\/p>\n

The demands of the people are clear: access to safe, cheap or free public transport and healthy water, more bicycle paths and green areas, earthquake-resistant housing and safe gathering areas, fair and planned urban transformation and city plans that respect the right to life of the people, non-privatization and non-commercialization of municipal services, social, cultural and sporting activities that are accessible to all, support for ecological production and sustainable urban understanding, integration of agriculture and animal husbandry into urban life without harming it.<\/p>\n

Justice, Solidarity and Struggle<\/strong><\/p>\n

We want a city free of poverty, favoritism and irregularities; we want a government that strengthens social solidarity and sharing; the municipality will be the servant of the people; the needs of the people will be prioritized, not the interests of the private sector and capital; municipal assemblies will work as a real people's assembly, and decisions will be taken in the interest of the people.<\/p>\n

We are no longer waiting, we are demanding<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cities will be cities of the people, municipalities will be at the service of the people, our right to life and the future of our cities will be secured; traffic, air pollution, earthquake risk, urban transformation, green areas, water and transportation rights will no longer be solved based on rent and interest, but based on the people; we citizens are fighting for our right to life and the future of our cities; we want real municipalism for the people, together with the people; not rent, but justice; not interest, but the people's interest; not a pile of concrete, but a green and livable city.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
