I KEPT QUIET TO PROTECT MY SON'S REPUTATION<\/strong><\/p>\n Despite all the ugly insinuations, attempts to create a victim role, and the psychological and physical violence I have suffered, I have remained silent to protect my son's reputation, if not my ex-husband's.<\/p>\n \u00d6zg\u00fcr Turhan and I ended our marriage not because of third parties, but because of his anger problem, which he could never restrain and made no effort to do so, and because shortly after the birth of our son, he abandoned all parental roles and left me alone in this process.<\/p>\n When the burden of raising a child alone in a marriage combined with the tension of not being able to predict when, what and how he would get angry, it was inevitable that I decided to divorce, primarily for the safety and psychology of my son. Since \u00d6zg\u00fcr could not accept the fact that I did not tolerate the violence that he had internalized in his own life to the point of turning towards his \u201cclosest\u201d ones, he accused me of ending our happy marriage for no reason and could not accept this decision.<\/p>\n When the date of our divorce case was set, we went to couples therapy at my insistence in order to manage the process well. On the way back, \u00d6zg\u00fcr Turhan suddenly got angry, pushed me into the elevator, pointed a penknife at me and said \u201cYou want a reason? I will give you a reason\u201d. As soon as I got to the floor, I ran home for my life; I thought he wouldn't continue because he had his own mother and our son at home. But I was wrong: In front of both of them, he grabbed me by the throat, pushed me against the wall and continued his threats. His mother, who was the closest witness to his violent tendencies, took me away from him by force. I don't want to put my ex-mother-in-law, whom I respect very much, in the difficult position of being a witness against her son, but I trust her conscience and common sense to reveal the truth. Rohan still hasn't recovered from that day and continues to ask questions. There are audio recordings of both \u00d6zg\u00fcr's mother and Rohan describing the moment of the incident, and messages from both \u00d6zg\u00fcr and our joint lawyer who managed our divorce process. I will submit these to the court file.<\/p>\n However, since it was more tempting to label me as \u201cthe wife of a bit of a celebrity, the woman who was cheated on\u201d for the end of a marriage that did not fit the ideal visual match in their minds, this rumor spread with enthusiastic fervor as soon as the news of the divorce broke. Although \u00d6zg\u00fcr knew that this had nothing to do with the truth, he took refuge in these rumors against the risk of exposing the fact that he was the perpetrator of violence, and clung to the role of the victimized, defeated ex-husband.<\/p>\n I am tired of thinking about our son, whom he didn't think of when he used me as a material in his new show with cheap jokes like \u201cWhen will Deniz open an OnlyFans account, I wish he would, so that I could see it for free\u201d, I am tired of protecting him, and I am tired of all kinds of bullying and slander I have been subjected to while doing so.
