Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that has different effects on individuals' communication skills and social interactions. While the speaking abilities of individuals with autism vary from person to person, some children can speak fluently while others may not be able to speak at all.<\/p>\n

Factors Affecting Communication Development<\/h3>\n

Special Education Teacher Mert Mete Mengi stated that the speech skills of children with autism vary depending on many factors. Mengi stated that the severity of autism, cognitive level, social communication skills, early intervention and sensory processing problems play a decisive role in communication development.<\/p>\n
