CHP Chairman \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u00d6zel met with Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yava\u015f and Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem \u0130mamo\u011flu for dinner. The meeting hosted by Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yava\u015f lasted 2.5 hours.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, they wanted to resolve differences of opinion over the \u2018member-based appeal poll\u2019 announced by \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u00d6zel as a \u201croad map\u201d to determine the CHP's presidential candidate.<\/p>\n

As a matter of fact, for \u0130mamo\u011flu, who called the announced method a \u2018revolution\u2019, and for Yava\u015f, who objected to the method and timing, he said, \u2018We will talk and find the right way.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Yava\u015f conveyed to \u00d6zel and \u0130mamo\u011flu that he would not enter this race if the insistence on nominating a candidate with such a method continues.<\/p>\n

He stated that this would be more of a separation than a competition and demanded a review of the method.<\/p>\n

This time, \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u00d6zel will ask the CHP Party Assembly to approve this method of candidate selection from Ekrem \u0130mamo\u011flu's side.<\/p>\n
