Elections for party organs at the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress have concluded.<\/p>\n
In the elections for the 60-member Party Assembly (PM), the most authorized body of the CHP, the three names with the highest number of votes were G\u00f6kan Zeybek (648), \u00d6zg\u00fcr Karabat (643) and Bedirhan Berk Do\u011fru (633).<\/p>\n
On the second day of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, elections for the party's authorized bodies were held. 387 people ran for the Party Assembly. CHP Chairman \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u00d6zel also prepared a key list for the elections, which were held as a sheet list. Due to the high number of candidates, the voting started at midnight last night, while the vote counting started at 5.30 a.m. and the raw vote results were announced at 11.00 a.m.<\/p>\n
According to the CHP Bylaws, the 60-member Party Assembly has a quota of 33 percent women and 20 percent youth. The CHP PM is formed by calculating the quotas for women and youth. Among the 12 people nominated by Chairman \u00d6zg\u00fcr \u00d6zel for the Science, Culture and Arts Platform, 8 names selected in accordance with the gender quota will also be counted among the 60 members of the PM.<\/p>\n
