The documentary Kanun H\u00fckm\u00fc was excluded from the selection of the 60th Golden Orange Film Festival; first the documentary film jury resigned from their duties, and then 28 films were withdrawn from the competition.<\/p>\n

Upon the reaction from the world of cinema, it was decided to include the documentary in the selection again.<\/p>\n

Today, following statements made by two ministries, I have been informed that an investigation has been opened on my behalf due to the presence of the film \u201cKanun H\u00fckm\u00fc\u201d in the National Documentary Competition of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Goncag\u00fcl Sunar, who lost 2 colleagues, rebelled<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Along with this investigation, threats to my safety and that of my team continue at a very high level.<\/p>\n

In order to listen to the voices of all parties, the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival team considered the unity and integrity of the festival while reselecting the film.<\/p>\n

However, we did not receive the necessary support from the movie industry, which voiced its reactions quite loudly.<\/p>\n

At this point, we, who feel responsible on behalf of cinema workers, are being portrayed as responsible and guilty for the incident. It is not possible for us to accept being described as supporters of any terrorist organization.<\/p>\n

At this stage, we are taking a new decision and excluding the documentary \u201cKanun H\u00fckm\u00fc\u201d from the selection of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.<\/p>\n
