Kentlerimiz halkın olmalı, rantın değil, sermaye ve çıkar gruplarının değil; yaşam alanları adaletin, eşitliğin ve refahın somut göstergesi olmalıdır; ne yazık ki günümüz belediyeciliği tam tersine dönmüş, belediyeler halkın değil, özel şirketlerin, müteahhitlerin ve sermaye gruplarının çıkarlarını koruyan bir makine hâline geldi; yüksek gökdelenler, beton çölüne dönüşen şehir dokuları, plansız kentsel dönüşüm projeleri, estetikten yoksun imar planları halkın yaşam hakkını yok ediyor; İstanbul’da son beş yılda 3.500 hektar yeşil alan imara açıldı, çocuk oyun alanları %18 azaldı ve bu veriler gösteriyor ki belediyeler halkın değil, sermayenin hizmetinde; artık beklemeye tahammülümüz yok; rant değil, halk için yönetim talep ediyoruz.
Economic Justice and Basic Services
Emlak vergileri düşük tutulmalı, halkın sırtındaki ekonomik yük kaldırılmalı, su, ulaşım ve temel hizmetler ucuz veya ücretsiz olmalı; herkesin erişimine açık ve sürdürülebilir olmalı; bu sadece ekonomik bir zorunluluk değil, aynı zamanda halkın yaşam hakkının güvenceye alınmasıdır; gelir dağılımında en yüksek %10’luk kesim ülke servetinin %60’ına sahipken belediyelerin vergi politikaları adaletsizliği derinleştiriyor.
Traffic and Air Quality
Our cities must breathe, traffic chaos must end, public transportation must be everyone's right, bicycle paths, walking areas and green corridors must be increased; air pollution cannot threaten public health; the annual rate of premature deaths due to air pollution in Turkey is around 45,000 and the municipality is obliged to protect public health.
Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness
Türkiye deprem kuşağında yer alıyor, nüfusun %65’i yüksek riskli bölgelerde yaşıyor; buna rağmen belediyeler deprem toplanma alanlarını halkın kullanımına açmıyor; kentsel dönüşüm projeleri çoğu zaman rant odaklıdır, halkın güvenliği ikinci plana itiliyor; depreme dayanıklı konutlar ve güvenli toplanma alanları planlı, şeffaf ve adil bir biçimde hayata geçirilmelidir; afet anında halkın maddi ve manevi olarak korunması bir tercih değil zorunluluktur.
Against Corruption and Nepotism
Belediyelerde yolsuzluk, kayırmacılık ve usulsüzlük sıradan hâle gelmiştir; ihalelerin %72’si şeffaf değil ve kamu kaynakları özel şirketlere aktarılıyor; halkın belediyelere olan güveni ciddi şekilde sarsılmıştır; artık susmak, suça ortak olmaktır; belediyeler denetlenmelidir, halkın denetim hakkı güvence altına alınmalıdır.
Local Government Law: People's Guarantee
The Local Government Law will ensure that municipalities work for the people, strengthen mechanisms of control and transparency, guarantee the people's right to say and decide, and it is only with this legal framework that the fight against rent and corruption is possible.
People's Demands are Clear and Unambiguous
The demands of the people are clear: access to safe, cheap or free public transport and healthy water, more bicycle paths and green areas, earthquake-resistant housing and safe gathering areas, fair and planned urban transformation and city plans that respect the right to life of the people, non-privatization and non-commercialization of municipal services, social, cultural and sporting activities that are accessible to all, support for ecological production and sustainable urban understanding, integration of agriculture and animal husbandry into urban life without harming it.
Justice, Solidarity and Struggle
We want a city free of poverty, favoritism and irregularities; we want a government that strengthens social solidarity and sharing; the municipality will be the servant of the people; the needs of the people will be prioritized, not the interests of the private sector and capital; municipal assemblies will work as a real people's assembly, and decisions will be taken in the interest of the people.
We are no longer waiting, we are demanding
Cities will be cities of the people, municipalities will be at the service of the people, our right to life and the future of our cities will be secured; traffic, air pollution, earthquake risk, urban transformation, green areas, water and transportation rights will no longer be solved based on rent and interest, but based on the people; we citizens are fighting for our right to life and the future of our cities; we want real municipalism for the people, together with the people; not rent, but justice; not interest, but the people's interest; not a pile of concrete, but a green and livable city.
