Real estates of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the 7th President of CHP, were seized.
In the compensation lawsuit filed by TÜGVA, an attachment order was issued on the grounds that the amount exceeded 70 thousand TL with interest and a sum close to 10 thousand TL had to be paid.
Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyers objected to the seizure order and the process was suspended.
This news was not surprising as we are used to similar compensation decisions in many cases brought against Kılıçdaroğlu by Erdoğan and his palace cohorts.
In fact, in the ‘Isle of Man Documents’ case, even though the court accepted that the documents were true, it still ruled compensation against Kılıçdaroğlu!
The strangeness here was that it came to the stage of ‘foreclosure’.
Investigations behind the scenes revealed the unrelenting anger of Erdoğan and his family against Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and a judiciary mechanism that had been instrumentalized by this anger.
A mini conspiracy has been hatched to seize Kılıçdaroğlu, who has been the most effective opponent of Erdoğan and his government during his CHP presidency, exposing the shady money traffic around associations and foundations established to consolidate the government.
Although the compensation amount requested during the first stage of the proceedings was paid before the decision was finalized, the delay interest arising at the appeal stage was put into execution proceedings without being notified.
When this was realized, the remaining amount was paid without any enforcement action and the file was closed.
What has been told so far is what happened on the Kılıçdaroğlu-TÜGVA front.
So what is the CHP front doing in this process?
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who continued his struggle against the AKP government even after his presidency, is on trial with Erdoğan's complaint despite the slanders of today's party administration that he is ‘cooperating with the Palace’. “I'm here because I called a thief a thief” "I am not grateful," he said, setting an example of an ungrateful opposition.
The CHP leadership, on the other hand, prefers to leave their former leader alone in his struggle against the government and its institutions as the leader of the opposition.
Otherwise, they know that the perception propaganda that “Kılıçdaroğlu is in cahoots with the Palace” will collapse.
“Özgür Özel, who said ”If we lose the election, I will go to prison for 30 years" and that his MPs will accompany him, I wonder if he thinks he will get this punishment because he is Bülent Arınç's hero or because he is the main opposition leader.
Is it because Özel, who warned his fellow MPs to ‘pay the price together’ and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who had to pay the price of his effective opposition with instructed judicial decisions, sees these cases as ‘personal’ cases that the CHP does not take a role in the defense and prefers to act ‘as if it does not exist’ regarding the fines?
If the CHP leadership does not get off this path of ‘fighting with its past’ as soon as possible, the promise of a ‘party of a century’ will remain just words. Like a gambler who cannot even bear the responsibility of the previous chairman and who has lost his legacy at the table, it will drift to a point that does not inspire confidence.
