Saffet Umul's comment about men growing beards in the program Saklı Gerçekler (Hidden Truths) presented by Saffet Umul and commented by Murat Bayaral and Hikmet Kahrıman on FM TV became a hot topic on social media again.

Answering a question from the audience, Saffet Umul said:
“A man does not need permission from his wife to grow a beard.
A man is obliged to grow a beard.
A man has to grow a beard to break up with a woman.
There are two limbs that distinguish a man from a woman.
One of these is the beard.
You see a man with long hair, and now both men and women dress the same.
One minute he has long hair and no beard.
You think he's a woman until he gets close.
God forbid you get into a lot of thoughts.”
Umul's remarks became a hot topic on social media again.
