Selen Görgüzel, who was detained within the scope of the drug investigation against celebrities and released on judicial control conditions, responded to the allegations against her on social media. Görgüzel described what happened as a “planned assassination of reputation”.
Singer and actress Selen Görgüzel, whose name was mentioned in the drug and prostitution operation that recently shook the tabloid agenda, broke her silence. Publishing a statement on her social media account with the title “Public Announcement”, Görgüzel stated that the news about her did not reflect the truth and that her honor was targeted.
”I Thought Air Travel was a Hotel Service”
Clarifying the reason for her statement within the scope of the investigation, Görgüzel touched on the detail of “airplane travel” that she also shared on social media. The famous name stated that he thought the flight in question was a transportation opportunity offered to the customers of the hotel where he stayed, and said the following:
”The sole reason why I am being interrogated within the scope of the investigation against me is the plane ride that I took, thinking that it was a means of transportation provided by the hotel I stayed in for its customers, and for which I even shared photos on social media.”
”Allegations of drugs and prostitution are serious and outrageous”
Selen Görgüzel stated that she was deeply ashamed that her name was associated with serious crimes such as drugs and prostitution and emphasized that she had no relation to these allegations. Stating that the statement she gave to the prosecutor's office was deliberately misrepresented in the press, the artist described this situation as a “planned assassination of reputation” against her.
Legal Process Initiated
Görgüzel concluded his statement by announcing that he would start a legal struggle against baseless news targeting his personal rights:
“I respectfully inform the public that all necessary legal and criminal proceedings will be initiated immediately against all persons and organizations that target my honor and personal rights and mislead the public with baseless news.”
