Varank tagged Özel
AK Party Bursa MP Mustafa Varank, tagging Özel's Twitter account and quoting the news article containing his statement, said, “It is as true that Özel broke his foot in Manisa as it is that the police broke the door. There is always a problem with his statements about the fracture,” he claimed.
He published an X-ray of his foot to end the controversy
Özgür Özel's broken foot caused controversy at the time, and he stated that his foot was broken in an accident at home. In response to this, some allegations were made on social media claiming that his foot was not broken at home, but as a result of the chaos during an argument, and even that he had been shot. Özel denied these allegations and shared an X-ray of his broken foot.
