Mümtazer Türköne: I don't take Bahçeli's words personally

Responding to Bahçeli's harsh words, Türköne said, "I still hold the same opinion.".

In a written statement, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli denied the allegations that he had a disagreement with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and would call for early elections.

“It is futile for the rotten ones who attempt to discuss our party with the lies and fuss of early elections and who attempt to read intentions with their tiny minds,” Bahçeli said:

“The decision of the Nationalist Movement Party and the People's Alliance is final, the elections will be held on time and this will never be compromised.”

Türköne: No offense taken

Mümtazer Türköne, who was released from detention in a FETÖ case after being granted the right to a retrial upon Devlet Bahçeli's call, responded to MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli's statement on his social media account.

Türköne said, “I don't take Bahçeli's words personally. My analysis was about the Resolution Process. I said, “If the Resolution Process does not work, early elections will be inevitable.” The Resolution Process will not work if the law is not returned. I still hold the same view.”.

The debates started when writer Mümtazer Türköne said in an interview with Cansu Çamlıbel on the T24 news website, “My prediction is as follows... Erdoğan will undermine the solution process, in other words, he will prevent the solution process from developing. Bahçeli will then lead Turkey to early elections.”.
