In Tavşantepe village of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, Narin's lifeless body was found 19 days later in Eğertutmaz Creek, 1.5 kilometers from her home. After an investigation by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a lawsuit was filed against mother Yüksel Güran, older brother Enes Güran, uncle Salim Güran and neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar for the murder of Narin Güran.
In the final hearing held at Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court on December 28, mother Yüksel, brother Enes and uncle Salim Güran were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment ‘for the murder of a child in complicity’. Nevzat Bahtiyar, who claimed that he took the lifeless body of the little girl from uncle Salim Güran and buried it in Eğertutmaz Creek, 1.5 kilometers from the village, was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for ‘concealing and destroying evidence’. Narin's file was sent to the Regional Court of Appeal after the reasoned decision was written.

On the contrary, it is seen that applications such as games and music were used, and again, as stated in the defense, it is seen that he was asleep at critical hours and there was no intense movement such as call-call-message.”
