no brakes on public spending.
The rhetoric of austerity is on the lips but not in practice;
spending priorities are unclear,
It is still not transparent how much resources are allocated to which items and to what extent.
And the picture does not end there:
A lady who was the Central Bank Governor for 8 months,
After leaving office, he is paid a monthly salary of 750 thousand TL for two years.
What cabbage, what pickle?
Citizens are told to ‘tighten their belts’,
boasting of record tax revenues,
But when it comes to public positions and privileges, the generosity is unlimited.
There is a saying:
“The country's wealth is a sea, whoever doesn't eat it is a pig.”
Unfortunately, fiscal discipline is operated downwards without going upwards.
If the state is so meticulous with citizens,
must show the same ethics and responsibility in its own spending.
