The Confederation of Public Employees' Trade Unions (KESK) shared its expectations for the 2024-2025 collective bargaining negotiations with the public.
Based on the inflation data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), they announced plans for a potential work stoppage on August 16.
KESK reiterated its demand to reduce the working week from 40 to 35 hours and demanded the adoption of ILO Convention 190 on Violence and Harassment.
He also demanded that the lowest civil servant salary be raised to 45 thousand TL and that the extra allowance given to salaries be included in the basic monthly coefficient.
In the statement made by KESK, the following statements were made
“Çalışma Bakanı, 2024-2025 toplu iş sözleşmesi taleplerimize ilişkin ilk öneriyi kamuoyuna duyurdu. Bu öneriye göre, 2024’ün ilk altı ayı için %14, ikinci altı ayı için %9. 2025’in ilk yarısı %6, ikinci yarısı %5 olarak belirlenmiştir. Ancak bu öneri yetersizdir ve yaşam koşullarımızı daha da zorlaştırmak anlamına gelir. Bu teklifi reddediyoruz. Tüm emekçileri, 16 Ağustos’ta KESK’in düzenleyeceği eyleme destek vermeye davet ediyoruz.”
