A significant number of those who yesterday shouted slogans like “Neither America nor Russia, fully independent Turkey!” and boasted of their anti-imperialist identity seem to have forgotten their past. The same people are now pretending to be j/anti-imperialists.
Those who yesterday defended the right of nations to self-determination have today come to the point of defending the imperialists who committed this crime, let alone criticizing the imperialists' kidnapping of the head of state of an independent country.
Those who yesterday claimed that they were defending the rights of the oppressed and victimized are now so far gone as to declare the leader of Venezuela, which is surrounded by imperialist armies from all four sides, whose economy has been crippled by embargoes and whose people are condemned to starvation, a “dictator”.
Yesterday, those who did not take down the photographs of Che Guevara, Allende, Fidel Castro, Chavez from the walls of their homes; those who did not stop talking about the struggle of the South American revolutionaries...
Today, they stand on the side of the imperialists, who are trying in every way to destroy the memories, works and comrades of those revolutionaries and to destroy their lands, mines and oil.
What kind of paradox is this? We find it really difficult to understand.
So, how do we know these j/anti-imperialists who are the lackeys of the imperialists in Venezuela?
We know them for their “enough but yes” attitude.
We know them for their indirect support to the current regime in the country by boycotting the elections.
We know them from their partnerships with Taraf newspaper, which is fed by the CIA and funded by the imperialists.
We know them from the funds they receive from the so-called non-governmental organizations established by Soros foundations.
We know them from their comradeship with those who said, “We would sell our homeland for a woman's breast.”.
Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Would those who were willing to sell their homeland for a woman's breast respect the struggle of those who wanted to protect it?
While they considered it legitimate to sell the homeland, they could not even condemn the punch in the eye of Maduro's wife who was imprisoned with him, let alone condemn what was done to Maduro.
We know them by the way they kiss the hands that hit those black eyes.
And we look at them with those purple eyes.
We know that those bruises are not only the work of the enemy; j/anti-imperialists also have their share.
Know this well:
The chains on Maduro's hands are chains on the dignity of a people.
But that punch to a woman's eye is a punch to all of humanity.
You are the returners of every period, every era.
Yesterday anti-imperialist, today j/anti-imperialist, tomorrow orientalist...
The famous Bursa folk song comes to mind:
Are you from Bursa, velvet bride?
You passed the tea?
Your cheeks are flushed
Have you been drinking cognac?
The cognac we drank
Our appetizer is clotted cream
Whose companion are you, my child?
You're all playful...
When you see the money, you are all over the place.
Last Word
What our ancestors said:
“Fear the fearless, shame the shameless.”
I am ashamed of you.
