The shameless inequality of humanity

This order feeds on our silence. Every ignoring, every “what do I care” speeds up this wheel a little more.

The world is spinning, yes. But this rotation carries the continuity of a distortion, not an order. The sky is the same, the sun is the same; there is one more thing that does not change: The shameless inequality of humanity.

On the one hand, tables are overflowing, on the other, children cannot sleep because of hunger. On the one hand, lives squandered in luxury, on the other, people forced to violate their dignity for a morsel of bread. This is no longer a “fate”; it is a blatant order, a deliberate negligence, even an organized lack of conscience.

War is the bloodiest face of this rottenness. For the sake of borders drawn on maps, for the sake of decisions taken at the table, people who are innocent of any crime fall to the ground. It is always the poor who die, and those who kill are often invisible hands. There is a gap between those who shoot and those who give the order, but ordinary people always pay the price for that gap.

“Saying ”the world is spinning" has become the most comfortable excuse for submitting to this order. Just because it is spinning does not mean that it is spinning in the right direction. On the contrary, this rotation is often a repetition of injustice, exploitation and insensitivity.

The question is: Who cares?
Because those who care are silenced and those who do not are left alone. The remaining majority close their eyes either out of fear or out of habit. Hunger becomes normalized, war becomes ordinary, death becomes a statistic.

This order feeds on our silence. Every ignoring, every “what do I care” speeds up this wheel a little more. The world will continue to spin, yes. But that is not the point. The point is to remain human in this cycle.

Because the real shame is not that the earth is spinning;
is when your conscience is on the spot while you're spinning
