Hazal Subasi I enjoy every detail of the Wish Stone

How do you feel at this time in your life?

- Most importantly, I think I know myself now and I know what I want and what I don't want. It's a time when I feel very good and hopeful. I feel like I'm in a time when everything is going well, starting to be completed and getting better and better. So I am happy and excited to be honest.

◊ ‘The Wishing Stone’ is about an important period in Turkey's recent history. How does it affect your psyche to take part in a period drama and relive those years?

- The 1980s was a period of Turkey that I was very curious about and loved to read and watch. This is my first period work, so I am even more excited. Since the first preparation process, I have been very interested in every decor and costume on the set. I enjoy every detail of this project. It is very enjoyable to see and watch myself in that period, and of course, it is also very enjoyable to play Figen in the world we have built. I am happy to be a part of the team

How and what kind of emotions does Hazal Subaşı portray in ‘The Wishing Stone'?

- Figen is a character with a very high sense of justice, sensitive, cares about human life, stands against injustice, thinks about everything around her and especially her loved ones, acts sensitively, is very fond of children, and has a high sense of empathy. She is a strong woman who tries to stand firm in the midst of the chaos in her life, defending and protecting everything and everyone she believes in until the end. She is someone we want to be, someone we can say ‘I wish I could do and act like her’. It is very enjoyable to set out with a character like Figen and walk this path with her.

I'M A VERY QUICK DECISION MAKER

◊ What does this glittering world bring to the person in its focus and what does it ask of them in return?

- If I am in a project, I shape my priorities according to my work. I think it is very important and very necessary to put in effort, as in every job. I do everything I can to get the reward for my effort and I don't think about the rest much anymore. I was more anxious before. We can also encounter disappointments in life, or it can be better than we expect, it can go well.

◊ How are you at making decisions?

- I am a very quick decision maker, always have been. No matter how big or small the issue is, I make decisions very quickly and I start doing something about it very quickly. Usually the results are good, but there are rare occasions when I wish I had thought about it more.

◊ When you make eye contact with someone, what feelings do you think you evoke in the other person at first glance?

- I used to be told that I seemed colder. ‘I find it hard to trust you,’ many people would say. I guess I don't seem to be very interested in meeting people, especially in the first meeting. Meeting new people, talking to them, spending time with them has become something I do and love more in the last two years.

I TRY TO BE A LOVER AND A COMPANION

◊ Are you a romantic lover or a good traveling companion?

- I try to be both, I think I need a little bit of both. I think the important thing is to make an effort, to be aware of the other person, to want to make yourself and the person with you happy.

◊ Do you think what happens or what doesn't happen affects us more?

- Of course, the things that have happened affect you a lot in the process ahead, but the things that have not happened, or rather the things that could not have happened, stick in your mind for a long time.

◊ In a moment that makes you feel fully happy, where and what are you doing?

- If I am alone and I have headphones, I can have a good time for a very long time without getting bored. Being able to have fun on my own is something I like very much.

I WANT TO GO TO CULINARY SCHOOL

◊ What is that motivation that gets you out of bed every morning?

- I don't have a challenge. I am a happy but difficult person to wake up. I love my routines, especially when I am working, I like to wake up in the morning and do the same routine and feel like I have completed everything and start the day that way.

◊ The lives of famous names are among the most curious... In this context, can you share with us something that your fans will learn about you for the first time?

- I love watching food videos, cooking and of course eating. My ‘Explore’ section on Instagram is full of food videos. If I have a long gap, I will go to culinary school. It's somewhere in my head for now.

◊ What is the ‘that thought’ you have most often during the day?

- I have a bit of a procrastination problem. I constantly think about when I will do the things I put off during the day.

I WASH MY FACE WITH ICE AND COLD WATER

What is your relationship with fashion and trends?
