Organized by the National Beka Movement and held at Bağcılar Hasan Nail Canat Cultural Center, the “Adding Value to Life Awards” night brought together important names from the world of politics and media. On April 26th, social sensitivity and professional achievements were awarded at this prestigious ceremony.
HALKWEB / In the night hosted by Ali Çoban, President of the National Beka Movement and his team, names who showed sensitivity to social issues were honored. One of the most striking awards of the night, the “Honorary Award for Creating Social Awareness Fighting Drug Addiction” was given to Gürsel Tekin, Chairman of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Call Committee.


Thank you message on behalf of Gürsel Tekin
Gürsel Tekin, who was unable to attend the ceremony due to his previously scheduled program in Izmir, received his award from Zeki Şen, Deputy Chairman of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Call Committee. In his speech, Şen conveyed Gürsel Tekin's greetings and thanks and used the following expressions:
”I am very happy to receive this award on behalf of Mr. Gürsel Tekin. Noting that Mr. Gürsel could not be with us due to his program in Izmir, I would like to express my gratitude to all the guests and the President of the National Beka Movement Ali Çoban and his team for creating this meaningful environment.”

Success in the Media World: “Journalist of the Year” Award to Dilek Bozkurt
On the same night, a meaningful award was given in the media category. Halkweb News Editor Dilek Bozkurt was awarded the “Successful Woman Journalist of 2025” award. Bozkurt, known for her upright stance and principled journalism in her professional life, drew attention to the ethics of journalism and the difficulties she experienced in her speech at the award ceremony.
Bozkurt emphasized the following in his speech:
“Adding value to life requires responsibility and the pursuit of truth. I have never stopped writing the truth in line with the values I believe in. Thank you for valuing my efforts and deeming me worthy of this award despite the embargoes I have faced. I will continue to pursue my profession with the same discipline and love.”
